Wordflow commenced trading in 1980 as a computer consumables company. In 1985, the company was acquired by Trace Computer Holdings Ltd, to provide an added value service to its customer base, one of several acquisitions before it floated as Trace Computers plc in 1988.

Over the years Wordflow built close relationships with a number of major manufacturers of both computer and office consumables, and in 1993 a new division was created to supply PCs, software and printers from Lexmark, Hewlett Packard, Kyocera, Compaq, Tulip, Microsoft and many others.

Following a restructuring 1997, Wordflow was purchased from Trace plc by its staff and directors, with all but one of the 27 staff subscribing in the buy-out. Meanwhile Wordflow continued creating significant partnerships including becoming a Lexmark Colour Print Centre in 1998.

Today Wordflow represents all major brands of original consumables and stationery and the full range of specialist accessories for all computer and printer office installations, from IT centres to individual PC desktops.
